As the Chef Manager, you will be hands-on with meal preparation as needed, working closely with front of house and back of house teams to ensure the hospitality oriented dining program consistently exceeds resident and guest expectations. You will select, train and grow culinary talent within our state-of-the-art kitchen and develop lasting relationships with residents and guests in our restaurant style dining room. Supported by our experienced Regional and Corporate teams, you’ll help cultivate a culture of collaboration and excellence in dining and hospitality. YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee food service compliance while ensuring exceptional quality and productivity by effectively scheduling and coordinating kitchen staff operations.

  • Ensure recipe consistency and adherence to company standards while showcasing culinary creativity for special event menu planning.

  • Drive resident and guest satisfaction through clear communication, superior meal preparation, and outstanding dining service.

  • Manage food ordering and equipment inventory to minimize waste, control costs, and maintain budget compliance.

  • Build a positive workplace culture by training employees in safety protocols, food handling, and kitchen cleanliness, while applying company policies fairly and consistently.

  • Collaborate with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support to align with organizational goals.

  • Lead staffing efforts, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, coaching, employee training, and task delegation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • ServSafe certificate

  • Formal culinary training through degree or certificate program

  • Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English

  • Ability to work flexible schedule as the needs of the dining program require

  • Demonstrated successful use of technology in the workplace including MS Office and POS

  • Minimum two years comparable kitchen managerial experience with five years experience in volume cooking

  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
