Job description

Our Culinary Operations Internship is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment. This role provides exposure to daily kitchen operations, food preparation, sanitation standards, and teamwork within a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant setting. Interns will work alongside experienced culinary professionals to develop foundational skills and gain a deeper understanding of kitchen operations.

Program Details:

  • 8, 10, or 12 week duration (depending on intern needs)
  • This intern will be supporting our 1933 Lounge Fishers team
  • Internships typically begin the first week of June (flexible based on intern needs)

What you will do:

  • Assist with basic food preparation including chopping, portioning, and ingredient organization
  • Support line cooks and chefs during service to ensure timely and accurate dish execution
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Participate in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory
  • Observe and learn proper cooking techniques, plating standards, and kitchen workflows

Job Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing a degree (or certificate) in culinary arts, hospitality, or restaurant operations
  • Previous kitchen experience is a preferred but not required
