Position Title: Instructional Design & Facilitation Intern

Location: Remote (Flexible Scheduling; travel to sites as needed)

Duration: 6 months (Paid Internship; potential for extension based on performance and organizational needs)


Position Objective:

The Instructional Design & Facilitation Intern will support the creation, delivery, and evaluation of learning programs that enhance organizational effectiveness and workforce development. This role offers a balanced opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both instructional design and live facilitation. The intern will collaborate with learning and development professionals to design engaging training materials and assist with delivering interactive learning experiences for frontline, operational, and leadership audiences.


Key Accountabilities:

Instructional Design & Content Development

  • Collaborate with the manager and stakeholders to design and develop comprehensive training programs and educational materials.
  • Assist in the creation of instructional materials, including e-learning courses, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, videos, and instructor-led training content.
  • Contribute to the development of interactive and engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create practical, learner-centered training solutions.
  • Support updates and maintenance of existing learning materials to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
  • Conduct quality checks on instructional materials to ensure they meet established design and development standards.

Facilitation & Training Support

  • Assist with facilitating virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and learning events.
  • Support training logistics and coordination for learning initiatives across teams and sites.
  • Help create engaging and inclusive learning environments that encourage participation and collaboration.
  • Observe and support experienced facilitators to strengthen presentation and classroom management skills.
  • Participate in training delivery at manufacturing or operational sites as needed.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Collect participant feedback and assist in evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance learning content and facilitation approaches.
  • Incorporate feedback and lessons learned into future training materials and program updates.
Requirements:

Position Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough quality checks on instructional materials.
  • Interest in facilitation, workforce development, and operational or manufacturing learning environments.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support training delivery and learning events.
