Inside the Role
Inside the Role
The Custom Hardware and Electronics Configurator (CHEC) team builds and maintains DTNA's proprietary web-based tool that enables Truck Equipment Manufacturers (TEMs), dealers, and internal teams to configure and validate vehicle electrical features. CHEC operates in a safety-relevant, high-complexity domain where usability, correctness, and delivery discipline are critical.

This role is approximately 70% UX Design and 30% Scrum Master & Agile Facilitation. You will design intuitive workflows for complex configuration tasks, establish reusable UX patterns and safety-oriented design standards, and partner with React/.NET engineers to bring designs to life. On the Agile side, you will facilitate ceremonies, partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, and promote continuous improvement. AI fluency is a core competency on this team - you will leverage AI tools daily to accelerate research, ideation, and design workflows.

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Own end-to-end UX for the CHEC web application
  • Design intuitive workflows for complex configuration tasks (logic creation, PTO setup, dash switch & gauge layouts)
  • Create wireframes, interaction models, and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Establish and maintain reusable UX patterns and safety-oriented design standards

  • Partner with Product Owners to refine backlog items and acceptance criteria
  • Identify and help remove impediments affecting delivery
  • Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement
  • Ensure transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies
  • Champion adoption of AI-augmented development practices across the team

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted design and research tools (e.g., Claude, Midjourney, Figma AI features)
  • Foundational prompt engineering skills - ability to craft effective prompts for research synthesis, content generation, and design exploration
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and refine them to meet UX quality standards

Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Prior experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator
  • Experience with configuration tools, engineering, or safety-relevant systems
