Job description

Job Summary:
The CRM Channel Specialist is responsible for building and deploying customer communications across their assigned channel - Email, SMS, or Chat. This role takes the strategy and creative brief, builds the communication inside the platform, ensures it's ready for QA, and sees it through to deployment.
This is a hands-on execution role that requires technical proficiency, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple builds simultaneously without letting quality slip. The CRM Channel Specialist is the person who makes sure what the strategy team envisions actually reaches the customer - correctly, on time, every time.
Major Job Responsibilities/Job Duties:
Communication Build & Deployment
  • Build customer communications (emails, SMS messages, chat flows) inside the CRM platform based on approved briefs and creative assets
  • Configure audience segmentation, send timing, suppression logic, and personalization tokens as directed
  • Prepare all sends for QA review - ensuring builds are complete, accurate, and ready for testing
  • Deploy approved communications on schedule and confirm successful delivery
  • Maintain organized records of all builds, send dates, and audience parameters

Quality & Accuracy
  • Self-review all builds before submitting for QA - checking links, images, copy, personalization, and audience targeting
  • Implement QA feedback quickly and accurately
  • Flag any discrepancies between the brief and available assets or technical limitations before build begins
  • Maintain a low error rate and take ownership of quality in your channel

Platform & Process
  • Stay current on platform capabilities and best practices for your assigned channel
  • Contribute to process improvements that make the team faster and more reliable
  • Support the CRM Manager with reporting and performance pulls as needed
  • Assist other channel specialists during high-volume periods
  • Upload html files for CEC to view and know which current offers are running

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 4- year college degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency with at least one major ESP or CRM tool (Klaviyo, Cordial, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Attentive, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail - takes personal responsibility for accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple builds and deadlines simultaneously
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email a plus
  • Understanding of segmentation, personalization, and CRM compliance basics
  • Team-oriented and communicative - raises issues early rather than late
  • Strong attention to detail - takes personal responsibility for accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple builds and deadlines simultaneously
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email a plus
  • Understanding of segmentation, personalization, and CRM compliance basics
  • Team-oriented and communicative - raises issues early rather than late
