As an Agriculture Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing long term relationships and growth at Strategic accounts. You will meet BASF specified targets by creating value for the existing customer base and prospecting for new opportunities with products, services, and/or solutions from BASF. You will be based in a western state (CA, AZ, WA, OR, or ID), allowing you to service your local Strategic accounts. Your main geography will be regional in scope covering mostly the Western Coast of US (and some other regions of US). Minimum of 75% travel required.

  • Managing strategic customer accounts, delivering value through BASF's products, services, and solutions.
  • Maintaining long term relationships at strategic accounts
  • Developing and executing a 3-Year Business Plan with assigned channel partners aligned to BASF's strategic goals.
  • Communicating BASF's strategy and objectives across all levels of the channel partner's organization to ensure alignment.
  • Facilitating collaboration with regional and district managers to create mutually profitable business solutions.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, coordinating internal resources to support growth.
  • Maintaining deep market knowledge and local expertise in western specialty crops agronomy

If you...
  • Have a minimum of 13-15 years of experience in Account Management, Field Sales Management, Marketing, and/or Business Development within the agricultural field.
  • Proven career stability, including at least 2 years in the current role.
  • Demonstrated expertise with MS office suite, In person presentations, and analyzing data to assimilate and present to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess a willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 70% of the time, primarily domestically.
  • Reside in the Western States of US (CA, AZ, WA, OR, or ID) to effectively support key geographies.
  • Leverage your Bachelor's Degree in Business, Agricultural Business or Science degree or related field.
  • 15 years' overall experience or MBA plus 13 years' experience.
  • Demonstrate experience managing long term business relationships with assigned channel partners, including Corporate Business relationships.Exhibit a strong understanding of distribution, go-to-market systems, and competitive relationships within channel accounts to develop a 3-Year Business Plan.
