Channel Partners is seeking a dynamic and innovative Area Sales Manager to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction for one of the world's leading home electronics brands, LG. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional store support and achieving sales targets for LG's Media Solutions (MS) business. This is a full-time, ongoing role working Tuesday-Saturday.
Your Main Goals:
  • Oversee LG's presence in assigned retail locations, ensuring optimal product placement, brand visibility, and display functionality
  • Implement sales strategies and activities to boost product sell-through and market share
  • Foster strong relationships with store leadership and associates to maintain brand awareness and loyalty
  • Meet or exceed LG sales targets and market share goals through effective sales initiatives
  • Act as a liaison to various channels, supporting LG's overall sales and marketing objectives

What You'll Do
  • Achieve and/or exceed LG sales targets in assigned retail locations
  • Compile competitive realities and insights, as well as feedback on LG products, displays, and overall strategy
  • Develop and execute a weekly visit plan based on solid data analysis
  • Manage all relationships at assigned stores (with store leadership, category, merchandising, install, and service managers, as well as consumers, etc.) with a strong focus on influencing sales and sales strategy with store associates and management. Develop LG brand advocates throughout the store
  • Maintain a solid understanding of industry trends, technology, and competitive information, and report progress of retail relationships
  • Represent LG and BDS Connected Solutions in a professional business manner (dress, demeanor, communication, etc.) and to the highest standards of excellence when working with clients
  • Train in-store sales associates and managers in formal and informal settings on the features and benefits of LG products, the operation of LG vendor pads and brand walls, and the step-up process among various product tiers; offer a thorough understanding of LG product line and industry offerings to consumers and store associates - all geared to drive sales results and advocacy for LG
  • Coordinate all aspects of LG's in-store presence, sales calls, training, assisted-selling hours, and special event schedule planning; resolve in-store issues; manage relationships with in-store management and staff, as well as consumers, to ensure LG's goals are met
  • Coordinate and conduct demo days, specialized training, assisted-selling hours, and special event schedule planning; facilitate in-store activities to optimize sales and increase sell-through of LG products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve level 1 issues with displays. Report all remaining issues with LG product displays and track resolution, ensure LG products are set to plan-o-gram, and gain commitments for increased shelf share
  • Complete all required reporting for store tasks and field training activities on a timely basis
  • Adhere to pre-determined budgets, policies, and procedures; execute program initiatives as directed

What You'll Bring
Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3+ years' experience selling in the retail channel; experience selling home entertainment preferred
  • Training experience and/or project management experience are preferred

Skills and Attributes:
  • Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory and approximately 15% of the time outside of the market.
  • Working knowledge of retail business, execution, and products
  • Strong sales analytical skills, including data analysis, planning, and influencing skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members
  • Self-driven with the ability to complete multiple store visits daily
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask, effectively manage conflicting priorities, and meet established deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to work varying schedules based on client needs, including nights and weekends, as needed
  • Professional in demeanor, dress, and behavior at all times
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related computer hardware and software
