Job Summary:
The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading Pyromation's commercial strategy and execution to support sustainable sales growth, strong customer relationships, and profitable market development. This role provides leadership across sales, channel management, marketing, and related commercial activities, while building on the company's strong existing foundation of customer responsiveness, product knowledge, and established market presence. The position will help strengthen proactive sales leadership, commercial planning, marketing effectiveness, and performance discipline in support of the organization's growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies aligned with company growth, profitability, and priority market objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the commercial organization across regional sales, outside sales, inside sales, marketing, and key sales channel relationships.
  • Lead up the continued development of sales channels, territories, and customer relationships to support growth and market coverage, with a focus on developing and maintaining long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee marketing, lead generation, trade show participation, customer training, and related commercial programs that support demand creation and growth.
  • Lead and support market research, R&D activities, and proactive product management strategies.

  • Personally engage in key relationships, as well as strategic opportunities, to provide top level commercial leadership and support.

  • Guide pricing and related commercial decisions to support healthy margins, profitable growth, and sound business judgement.
  • Lead and partner effectively throughout the organization and across functional boundaries to support a high level of responsiveness, coordination, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish KPI's, dashboards, visual management, and consistent business processes to support forecasting, decision-making, accountability and overall commercial execution.
  • Perform other related duties as needed as directed by the Senior Managing Director.

Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in industrial, technical, B2B sales of engineered products.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sales, marketing, channel management, and commercial planning techniques.
  • Technical and commercial credibility to represent the company effectively and establish trust with customers, channel partners, and internal teams.
  • Experience leading and developing high performing teams with healthy cultures.
  • Professional and team-oriented leadership style with strong communication, listening, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Skilled in business process discipline, developing and visually managing critical business processes and systems.

Physical Demands:
  • The role involves computer-based tasks, with flexibility to work seated or standing.
  • The employee will be required to travel. Travel may involve overnight stays/air travel/driving a vehicle.
