Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary

Provides subject matter expertise and leadership for Molina broker channel management activities.  Responsible to build an effective and efficient broker channel for assigned geographical region in collaboration with other broker services and sales team members in assigned states.  Develops a high functioning, high performing broker network that is strategically aligned with Molina's mission and values by utilizing a combination of recruitment, mentoring, education, and channel management techniques to ensure brokers meet assigned objectives and enrollment targets.  Adheres to ethical sales practices, compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Duties

Drives Medicare membership and enrollment growth through strategic broker channel management. 
Recruits new general agency (GA)/brokers that are skilled at selling to Molina's target populations
In collaboration with agencies/agents in assigned areas, implements a marketing plan to maximize self generated leads.
Ensures agencies who receive company generated leads complies with established processes and timelines. 
Assumes accountability for the broker networks contribution to Molina's enrollment, profitability, and retention goals. 
Ensures brokers follow Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), state guidelines, ethical sales practices, and adhere to established policies, procedures and industry best practices.  
Assists channel in the design and implementation of provider and community based relationships and growth campaigns, and monitors and reports on results.
Actively participates in  the development and implementation of GA/broker trainings.
Assists with broker ride-along, trainings and evaluations.
Works on the development and ongoing overview of territory marketing plans with GAs/brokers.
Assists in business development strategies. 
Generates regular reports on each GA to determine corrective action plan (CAP) if needed, or relationship ended.
Works as a liaison between Molina and/or national Medicare broker/FMO, exchange GA, sales agents and other departments (i.e. membership accounting).
Tracks weekly/monthly member and provider issues for trending and reporting to leadership.
Assists with GA/Broker meetings and ongoing trainings. 
Assist with projects including:  competitive benefit comparison, monthly activity submission review, and provider presentations.
Collaborates effectively with community engagement teams within assigned markets, and develops sales strategies to procure sufficient number of referrals and other self-generated leads to meet sales targets. 
Generates leads from referrals and local-tactical research and prospecting.   
Provides training and support to new and existing broker sales team members.
90-100% travel required (based upon state/contractual requirements and business needs).
 

Required Qualifications

At least 5 years of Medicare, Medicaid, or Marketplace managed care health/insurance-related sales experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 
Active and unrestricted Life & Health insurance license.
Valid and unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance for job related travel requirements.
Ability to be on the road 90-100% of the time in the local service area. 
Experience self-generating leads through local area marketing. 
Current relationships with centers of influence for Molina products (Medicare/Marketplace/Medicaid).
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Experience preparing and presenting formal presentations.
Ability to work cross functionally within a highly matrixed organization.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to interface with internal/external stakeholders.
Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs proficiency.
 

Preferred Qualifications

Management/leadership experience.
Membership in related service organizations.
Bilingual.
