Job description

Our employer is expanding its philanthropy team and seeking a dynamic and accomplished fundraising leader to serve as their Chief Philanthropy Officer. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside influential community leaders, drive meaningful impact, and help create opportunities for youth, families, and individuals throughout Palm Beach County. You will join one of the community's most respected organizations that is expanding its footprint and attracting new support.


About the Role

Reporting directly to the President & CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Philanthropy Officer will lead the organization's philanthropic strategy in alignment with the organization’s strategic initiatives and priorities.


Qualifications

  • Must currently reside in the Palm Beach County Metro area
  • Bachelor's degree required; CFRE and/or CFRM highly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive fundraising leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success securing major and principal gifts
  • Proven experience leading comprehensive fundraising initiatives and capital campaigns
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with donors, volunteers, board members, and community leaders


Required Skills


High-level competencies should include the following:


  • Proven strength in developing, leading, and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies
  • Success raising seven figure gifts (eight figure gifts a plus)
