Job description

Spherion Staffing is hiring a qualified Chief Development Officer for a non profit in Wichita Falls, TX. Work schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, salary range is $60,000 - $84,000/yr based on experience.
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) leads fundraising strategies to secure revenue, overseeing annual, corporate, foundation, and major gift programs. While leading the development team, the CDO manages a personal portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, creating and executing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans to upgrade donors and secure significant financial support to meet organizational goals. The CDO supports the organization's fundraising, donor relations, and marketing efforts by executing stewardship plans, coordinating events, and ensuring accurate database records. They assist in securing revenue, tracking donor interaction, and preparing communications to meet organizational growth goals. Key duties include donor stewardship, database management (CRM), and event logistics.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an annual, comprehensive fundraising strategy aimed at achieving significant revenue growth to meet strategic objectives.

- Serve as a member of the senior leadership team, collaborating with the CEO and Board of Directors to set organizational goals and policies.
- Manage, mentor, and coach a team of development professionals.
- Develop and manage the development budget and track progress to goals, providing reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Board.
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a personal portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Create personalized stewardship plans to deepen relationships, ensuring major donors receive high-quality engagement and timely recognition.
- Secure five- and six-figure gifts, planned gifts, and support for special initiatives or capital campaigns.
- Conduct face-to-face visits, facility tours, and presentations to align donor interests with the mission.
- Oversee all fundraising channels, including individual giving, recurring donors, corporate sponsorships, and special events.
- Ensure the integrity of the CRM donor database, tracking donor interactions and moves management data.
- Collaborate with the communications team to produce marketing materials, annual reports, and donor appeals.

Skills:
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
- Ability to engage with diverse populations and build rapport with donors.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive fundraising experience with a proven track record of closing major gifts.
- 2+ years in a leadership role
- Bachelors degree required, in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic planning and data analysis abilities.
