Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician

Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Physician - OB/GYN
Location: Santa Cruz, CA.
Shift: 24-hour in-house hospital call (7:30 AM - 7:30 AM), 6-8 call shifts per month

Position Details:

Patient Population: Mostly low-risk, underserved populations

Setting: Inpatient hospital call

Responsibilities:

  • OB Hospitalist coverage
  • Inpatient deliveries
  • Pitocin monitoring
  • Assist with C-sections
  • Coverage of OB ED
  • Assist with urgent OBGYN cases while on call

Required Procedures:

  • Vaginal deliveries
  • C-sections (assist required)

EMR System: Cerner

Support Staff:

  • Ultrasonographer
  • 24/7 anesthesia coverage (10 MDs)

Days Per Month: 6-8 call shifts per month

On-Call/Weekends: Yes

Submission Requirements:

  • CA License Required
