Summary

Maintain, support, and continuously improve procurement systems, data, and process capabilities with a primary focus on SAP Ariba (upstream and downstream) and enablement reporting—ensuring stable operations, effective user support, robust access/security, accurate data, and measurable adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Ariba Operations Support (Day-to -Day)

  • Provide functional support across Ariba processes (e.g., buying/channel usage, contracts/sourcing workflows as applicable), including triage and resolution of user issues and service requests.
  • Monitor and support business continuity activities including outage awareness/communications via the established IT/help desk process.
  • Maintain and respond to incoming requests via the designated procurement enablement intake channel (e.g., enablement inbox / ticket queues).

SAP Ariba Administration, Technical Enablement & Maintenance

  • Support quarterly release readiness: review release impacts, coordinate testing of impacted features prior to production changes, and communicate business impacts/training needs with stakeholders.
  • Support system issue resolution and enhancements through ticket submission/escalation to SAP Ariba and coordination with internal IT/SAP product support.
  • Maintain accurate Ariba admin documentation and job aids; ensure documentation remains current following releases and process changes.
  • Develop a strategic overview and adoption plan for the Ariba product evolution roadmap.

Catalogues, Supplier Enablement & Content Maintenance

  • Support execution and maintenance of punch-out and hosted catalogues, including administration of catalogue/CMS updates where assigned
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on catalogue onboarding/updates and ensure timely resolution of catalogue-related operational issues.
  • Support Guided Buying communications to end users and assist with change management activities

Security, Access Controls & Audit Support

  • Administer or coordinate user access changes through the approved access request process; verify access provisioning completion.
  • Support elevated access governance including periodic review activities (e.g., export review, pivot-based analysis of groups/users, identification of access changes required, and submission of service requests).
  • Maintain and support Ariba security role structures and assist with audits/controls evidence where needed (e.g., access verification artifacts, review logs).

Data, Reporting & Basic Analytics

  • Produce and maintain basic Power BI reporting to support procurement operations and enablement metrics (dashboards, visuals, filtering/slicers, model navigation as required).
  • Support data quality and reporting readiness for Ariba-derived datasets; collaborate with IT/data engineering on interfaces and data pipelines where required
  • Perform basic analysis and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders (e.g., adoption trends, request volumes, catalogue status, security review findings).
  • Facilitate data cleanup activities (e.g. contracts and sourcing) with support from end users

Training, Enablement & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate and/or deliver training for new users/business units (e.g., category managers) requesting Ariba contract management usage; maintain training content/job aids.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, documentation improvements, and increased automation within procurement system workflows.
Typical Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience
  • 5+ years related experience and/or training
  • Required

    • Demonstrated experience supporting procurement processes and procurement systems, with hands-on capability to operate, administer, and maintain SAP Ariba in a business setting.
