Job description

Element Materials Technology is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support our growing laboratory in the Baltimore area. Core testing services include electronics and materials. This role is focused on expanding customer relationships, driving new business, and delivering value to our customers through our full range of capabilities to the aerospace, space, defense, and printed circuit board markets.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in material or product level testing sales/operations, understands value-add selling in the above markets, and can position Element as the go-to partner for quality and responsiveness.

Success in this role relies on relationship building, commercial acumen, and the ability to identify and convert opportunities, all while collaborating effectively with colleagues across our commercial, operations and finance teams.

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000/yr DOE

NEW BUSINESS GENERATION

  • Proactively prospecting: phone and email
  • Connect with potential customers, re-engage dormant & declining
  • Meet with customers to introduce Element’s services
  • Disciplined pipeline management

  • Own, manage and grow a portfolio for hundreds of active customers

COMPLIANCE & CONDUCT

  • Keep CRM records accurate, up to date, and complete

ONGOING DEVELOPMENT

  • Participate in training, coaching and team learning
    events

  • Share knowledge and best practices with peers to strengthen the team’s overall performance

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of business development, account management, or operations experience in electrical properties, printed circuit boards, or closely related services for aerospace, space, or defense end markets
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
