CNO Capability Development Specialist, Senior
The Opportunity:
As a Computer Network Operations (CNO) Specialist, you know that embedded or application developers, reverse engineers, and vulnerability analysts all play key roles in the CNO capability development lifecycle. We're looking for someone like you to flex your problem-solving prowess in a rapidly evolving systems security research and development environment.
As a CNO Capability Developer on our team, you'll support full project lifecycles. Guiding an agile team of professionals, you'll manage reverse engineering and vulnerability analyses of various software problems. You'll inform operational parameters for complex systems, as well as leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to influence the delivery of your work. Using your network operations experience, you'll determine what the art of the possible is and what can be done, and then you'll bring it to life for your clients.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience with software development using C or C++, or Rust and Python
  • 5+ years of experience developing exploitation capabilities for Linux environments
  • 5+ years of experience working in an Agile, SAFe, or iterative software development environment using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab, and employing DevSecOps processes
  • Experience taking a defined vulnerability from concept to exploited proof of concept
  • Experience gathering requirements and designing and developing approaches for product security, resilient cryptographic solutions, and anti-forensic measures
  • Experience using automation and virtualization to deploy, test, maintain, and sustain capabilities
  • Knowledge of operating systems internals, including processes, memory, and file systems
  • Knowledge of network protocols and traffic analysis
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with Linux environment vulnerability research, Associate's degree and 4+ years of experience with Linux environment vulnerability research, or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience with Linux environment vulnerability research

Nice If You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience with assembly
  • 3+ years of experience in computer engineering, computer science, electronic and electrical engineering, or applied mathematics
  • Experience with advanced software development, analytic development, and DevOps techniques for malware variants, advancing crypt capabilities, and emerging unknown protocols
  • Experience with Linux kernel exploitation, privilege escalation, or persistence techniques
  • Experience with static, dynamic, and other binary analysis tools
  • Experience in exploit development or malware reverse engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
