If you’re an experienced CNC mill operator looking for a four-day workweek, Kalman Manufacturing has multiple openings on its night shift in Morgan Hill.

Kalman has been in business for more than 38 years and operates a 42,000-square-foot precision manufacturing facility with more than 40 CNC machines. The shop produces complex precision components for medical device, aerospace, instrumentation, automotive and other demanding industries.

This is not an entry-level CNC position. You should be comfortable operating CNC mills, inspecting your own parts, working with precision measuring tools and recognizing when parts are out of tolerance.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, giving you a three-day weekend every week.

⚙️ What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate CNC vertical and/or horizontal machining centers
  • Run assigned jobs safely and efficiently
  • Inspect your own machined parts
  • Use standard precision measuring equipment
  • Monitor parts for dimensional accuracy and quality
  • Identify when parts are out of tolerance
  • Complete required inspection documentation
  • Work with tooling, fixtures, indexers and related equipment
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Troubleshoot basic machining and production issues
  • Help train other CNC operators as needed
  • Communicate effectively with the production team

  • Familiarity with tooling, fixtures and indexers
  • Ability to complete inspection documentation
  • Adequate shop math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Availability to work the Monday–Thursday night shift

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
