Job description

GSE Dynamics, Inc., a full-service engineering and manufacturing company located in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking a CNC Machinist for our Machine Shop.

Duties include:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Set up and prepare CNC machines for operation, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tooling.
  • Operate and monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced according to quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling as necessary to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machines, tooling, or programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
  • Familiarity with CNC machine operation and setup procedures.

Salary Range: $22.00 per hour - $32.00 per hour

This is an estimated salary range with any actual compensation offers to be dependent upon factors including experience, skill set, qualifications, and other factors allowed by law.
