Family owned and operated precision CNC machine shop in Pacoima is looking for a CNC Mill/Lathe Operator to join their team.

***Summary

***: Our company is searching for a talented and experienced CNC machine operator to oversee our computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines. You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards. As the machine operator, the successful candidate will be a highly skilled professional, with excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.

***Responsibilities:


  • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and orthographic drawings.

  • Take inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available, anticipated stock, and placing orders.

  • Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points.

  • Set up mills by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, and attachments.

  • Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.

  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first run part, and sample workpieces.

  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations.

  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions.

  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
