Vegas Fastener Manufacturing produces specialty fasteners and precision-machined components for demanding applications where material performance, dimensional accuracy and consistent quality matter.

This is a hands-on CNC setup and machining position for someone who can prepare CNC mills and lathes for production, prove out the first part, monitor the machining process and make the adjustments needed to maintain specifications.

Youโ€™ll work from engineering drawings and established processes while taking ownership of tooling, offsets, inspections and troubleshooting. Experience machining challenging materials such as Inconel 718 and hardened 422 stainless steel is especially valuable.

Both day and night positions are available. The Monday-through-Thursday schedule provides consistent hours, three-day weekends and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

โš™๏ธ What youโ€™ll be doing

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills
  • Review work orders, engineering drawings, specifications and machining requirements
  • Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, collets, bushings, stops and workholding
  • Set tool registers, offsets and compensation
  • Indicate vises and set up three- and four-jaw chucks
  • Calculate machining requirements using basic math, geometry and trigonometry
  • Load stock and prepare machines for production
  • Verify setups by inspecting first-run parts and sample workpieces
  • Perform turning, facing, drilling, grooving and other machining operations
  • Inspect parts throughout production to maintain dimensional requirements
  • Identify malfunctions and troubleshoot machining processes
  • Adjust offsets and replace worn or damaged tooling
  • Complete production, inspection and quality documentation
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance
  • Communicate job status, irregularities and production needs between shifts
  • Follow established quality and safety procedures

Required:

  • 1+ year of CNC machining experience
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and machining specifications
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Experience setting tooling, work offsets and compensation
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, gauges and other inspection equipment
  • Working knowledge of tooling, workholding and machining processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and quality issues

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
