Job description

To meet the needs of the Church, we seek to build teams that represent the diverse perspectives, broad life experiences and backgrounds of our global Church membership. With that in mind, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply.

Student Services Representatives are responsible for providing excellent support to BYU-Pathway Worldwide students. They can work between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, and we are flexible for staffing needs, within these times.

This part-time position typically works Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm. This position is a remote position.Disclaimer: Currently, most employees are working remotely and expected to work 15-20 hours per week during core department hours which are Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. This position is temporal and may end at any time.

Additional hours may be available and needed during peak service times, such as the beginning of new semesters. Student Service Representatives may sometimes work up to 40 hours based on the employer's discretion.

To do the work, the following are required for an at-home setup

Laptop or computer with a private at-home setup (no Chrome Books)

1024x768 (SVGA) screen

4 GB of ram

Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are recommended browsers

Internet Bandwidth

Minimum: 500 KBps upload speed; 1 MBps download speed (4 Mbps upload; 8 Mbps download)

Recommended: 1 MBps upload speed; 2 MBps download speed (8 Mbps upload; 16 Mbps download)

Specialized Projects:

Transfer Evaluation Team members support the Admissions Office by managing the evaluation of incoming transfer credits and academic records. This includes reviewing transcripts, applying institutional policies, and ensuring accurate articulation of coursework. Team members handle sensitive academic data and are responsible for maintaining strict compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). A high level of attention to detail and confidentiality is essential in all aspects of this work.

Policy Review:

Student Service Representatives will stay abreast with policy changes as indicated in the knowledge base. In a rapidly changing environment, they must remain current on standard procedures. Employees will be regularly evaluated on performance and how well they follow policies and procedures.

Administration:

Student Service Representatives will participate in special projects and various administrative duties.
