Job description

Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - Rollins Center - ENT 434R: New Venture Launchpad in the BYU Sandbox Program
Posting End Date: July 17, 2026

Position Start Date: September 1, 2026
Required Degree:
Bachelor's degree or higher. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Direct relevant entrepreneurial and professional experience in the software or technology industry is required (minimum of 3-5 years of experience).
Duties/Expectations:
  • Deliver and manage hybrid New Venture Launchpad courses (at least one 3-credit section per semester).
  • Teach and mentor student entrepreneurs as they build and launch software startup businesses.
  • Provide direct mentorship and facilitate mentorship opportunities with experienced entrepreneurs.
  • Provide accountability, review business progress, and evaluate products as student teams develop software systems, platforms, and applications.
  • Teach topics such as customer discover, product-market fit, product design and development, sales systems, go-to-market strategies, fundraising, business operations, HR management, leadership, and ethics.
  • Design and prepare course materials in coordination with the full-time faculty coordinator and deliver classroom instruction.
  • Mentor students during and outside of class, manage student assessments and grading with assistance from teaching assistants and faculty coordinator, and support achievement of course learning outcomes.
  • Teach a 14-week semester course consisting of approximately 28 class sessions.
