Job Summary

The Senior Business Technology Analyst provides the following support of Environmental & Sustainability technology initiatives:

  • Researches, analyzes, and evaluates data from a variety of sources and makes recommendations to management for program and process improvements.
  • Experience with environmental and sustainability applications for managing compliance, and collection and monitoring of biological data.
  • Experience with corporate services applications and integrations for managing mass notifications, service catalogs, assigning compliance tasks, managing satellite phones, and risk management.
  • Acts independently and provides guidance to entry level employees. Serves as a mentor to other team members. Assist business owners with functional area subject matter expertise, business analysis strategies and company networking/contacts.
  • Acts as a liaison between client area and information systems by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Acts as internal lead within the information systems and business groups to reengineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.
  • Provides technical recommendations and assistance to business owners by identifying, evaluating, designing and specifying systems and procedures that are cost effective, efficient and meet business requirements and corporate strategic goals.
  • Provides business consultation, defines business requirements, and analyzes project impacts (business and systems). Performs an analysis of the facts and identifies potential solutions that will meet the business requirements.
  • Prepares scope documents, system specifications and design recommendations for information system changes based on a thorough understanding of the business area and processes.
  • Facilitates the defining of databases schemas and tracks requirements defined by the business to monitor information systems projects and business processes.
  • Develops and delivers project related presentations to business owners to gain consensus of final approval to move forward with the project. Manages software vendor relationships before project management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 5-6+ years of directly related experience. 
  • Extensive analytical ability, including organization and problem-solving techniques.
  • Expertise in presenting information through written and verbal communications, extensive facilitation skills for gathering requirements and designing business processes related to system change requests.
  • Ability to coordinate issue resolutions through direct interaction with clients and application developers; strong project management skills for developing project plans and leading teams through all project life cycles.
  • Extensive experience in performing complex technical analysis of various data and business problems with strong attention to detail; analytical proficiency regarding the functional and technical development of application software solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task to support production issues, test production fixes, and fulfill legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to develop a test plan with scenario modeling for functional and regression testing of systems. Advanced knowledge of digital domains, products, and user journeys.
  • Ability to quickly learn industry trends and end-user demands; stay current with best practices and emerging technologies. 
  • Extensive experience with managing and prioritizing product backlogs; experience tracking metrics critical to product teams; experience collaborating across various stakeholders to compile requirements; understanding agile processes. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex messages, trade-offs, and tell a compelling story; ability to articulate business requirements; strong problem-solving mindset.
  • A mindset that challenges the status quo, seeks new solutions, and embraces change; takes initiative, steps outside comfort zones, and empowers teams to do the same; fosters an experimental mindset that drives innovation.

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:

$90,900 - $118,100

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
