FULLTIME The position is based in Newark, but could travel to other Horizon sites depending upon their client base (mostly Newark though).

 The position comes with a 15% bonus. We're looking for a Senior Level Manager to hire into our Business Process Improvement team. Candidates need prior management experience as well as a Master Black Belt. Must also have experience training others in Six Sigma (most MBBs do) and also administering a Six Sigma training program.

The Manager II - Enterprise Business Process Improvement role is responsible for managing and motivating a staff of Implementation Managers and Delivery Managers to execute a portfolio consisting of cross-divisional and enterprise business process improvements initiatives focused on to reducing cost and complexity across the enterprise. As a manager of Business Process Improvement (BPI) projects, the incumbent will define deliverables, structure project work plans and provide thought leadership to solve the most complex BPI problems. In addition to BPI project work, this person is also responsible for the advancement of corporate awareness and capabilities for business process change through the planning, delivery, coordination and oversight of BPI training and certification programs. The incumbent of this position will participate in BPI organization building activities and market the BPI group to the broader organization to gain buy-in and solicit new process improvement opportunities.

 Additionally, the incumbent will interact with senior division leadership to develop BPI portfolios, quantifying the value, ensuring implementation, and monitoring results/sustaining results. This will include process design, as well as redesign, to ensure that lean processes are the foundation for Enterprise capability enhancements. This position requires an accomplished leader and strategic thinker with a strong background in process improvement and ability to deliver significant business results. Leadership: Experienced process improvement leader with a focus on driving enterprise initiatives, cost and complexity reduction, and institutionalizing Business Process Improvement learning Direct complex process improvement initiatives affecting multiple functions or businesses Serve as a dedicated resource working directly with senior division leaders and staff to support process improvement Report and communicate the results from process improvement efforts to key stakeholders including C-suite executive and other senior leaders Assist the Enterprise Directors in setting and executing BPI strategy Build strong relationships to enhance collaboration between the BPI team and divisional staff Manage and motivate BPI and divisional staff working on projects within a matrix reporting structure Engage people and develop them through team work and a high level of participation Assess change readiness and prepare plans for helping stakeholders through change Utilize process improvement principles and tools to achieve significant improvement results Direct the work and analyses of process improvement implementation managers, delivery managers and analysts Drive for high quality, actionable results Process Improvement:

Master the tools and methodologies of Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement approaches Coordinate training for the enterprise and BPI staff on process improvement mindset and methodologies to drive organizational awareness on process improvement and instill and sustain process change Create and maintain the department training curriculum and develop content for internal training Oversee candidate selection and enrollment to ensure appropriate participation in BPI training programs Review and approve all requests for BPI certifications (Green Lean, Green Belt, Black Belt and Mater Black Belt) to ensure all certification requirements have been satisfied Collaborate in process improvement forums outside of the company to incorporate relevant tools into the department's methodologies and externally promote the group. Utilize various process improvement tools and methodologies when designing BPI team's work plans to meet business objectives Anticipate and proactively manage program risks and issues that impact program progress Ensure timely completion and achievement of project deliverables Deliver practical solutions and methodologies to solve complex business problems Manage, coach, and mentor project teams Develop and present internal and external content for leadership team Ensure deployment of common solutions across divisions and businesses Vet new project opportunities and write corresponding business cases Develop and share best practices among fellow process improvement coaches and clients Financial Management: Partner with Finance to develop and track project metrics Partner with business stakeholders to identify and drive out excess costs Monitor performance and improvement in key metrics Deliver operational improvement and financial benefits to meet or exceed annual targets Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering, business, or technical discipline from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred Requires a minimum of 12 years process-related experience

Requires a minimum of 7 to 10 years business process improvement or process redesign experience Requires a minimum of 5 to 7 years direct supervisory experience with coaching/mentoring of business process improvement practitioners Background in training and adult learning principles preferred Additional licensing, certifications, registrations: Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from an industry recognized leader (e.g. American Society for Quality) Knowledge: Healthcare industry experience preferred Fortune 100 experience preferred Understanding of change management challenges related to process improvement Proven project management and process improvement skills including very strong knowledge of lean and Six Sigma methodologies High proficiency in MS Office products (PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Word) Skills and Abilities: Ability to lead the work of others Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Strong presentation skills Demonstrated ability to create strong working relationships and strategic business partnerships Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions Strong project management experience Well organized and results-driven individual Travel (If Applicable): Minimal travel is required for this position
