Driving Profitable Growth and Solution Leadership in the Mining Sector

Expanding Baker Hughes Capabilities Beyond Oil & Gas Through Mining Innovation

Partner with the best

Baker Hughes is a global energy technology company serving energy and industrial customers in more than 120 countries. Building on more than a century of engineering leadership, Baker Hughes is expanding its capabilities beyond oil and gas to support adjacent industries, including mining, through differentiated technologies, digital solutions, and lifecycle services.

The OFSE organization plays a key role in commercializing technologydriven solutions that deliver operational excellence, sustainability, and longterm value for customers. By combining technical depth with commercial discipline, the team enables growth across new markets and applications.

Fuel your passion

The OFSE Mining Business Development Leader is responsible for driving market entry and profitable growth for Baker Hughes within the mining sector. • Translating customer challenges, market trends, and competitive intelligence into compelling value propositions and differentiated offerings.

  • Supporting pricing, tendering, and commercial risk assessment to maximize win probability, margin, and longterm value creation.

  • Shaping integrated, executionready solutions by coordinating inputs from engineering, digital, operations, lifecycle services, and supply chain teams.

  • Acting as executive sponsor for key mining pursuits, ensuring strong customer alignment and clear articulation of value.

  • Building and maintaining seniorlevel, trustbased relationships with mining customers, partners, and technology collaborators.

  • Promoting standardization, reuse, and bestpractice adoption across mining solution concepts to enable scalable growth.

  • Capturing feedback from customer engagements and pursuits to continuously refine value propositions and commercial approaches.

  • Representing Baker Hughes at industry events, customer forums, and professional societies to strengthen market presence and credibility.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have degreelevel education or equivalent experience in engineering, business, or a related discipline.

  • Have demonstrated experience in business development, commercial leadership, or solution management within industrial, energy, or adjacent markets.

  • Have strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing strategies, tendering processes, and commercial risk management.

  • Have the ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions in a clear, customerfocused manner.

  • Have proven capability to influence and align crossfunctional teams across geographies.

  • Have experience building senior customer relationships and progressing earlystage opportunities into executable projects.

  • Have strong communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

  • Having exposure to mining, heavy industry, or energy transition applications is advantageous.
