Job description

The Tech Licensing Business Development (TLBD) team is a global subject-matter expert in licensing (software, content/data, etc.) across Amazon. TLBD drives high-quality licensing negotiations, manages strategic partnerships, contributes forward-looking insights, and surfaces innovations that enable Amazon to delight our customers in ever-evolving ways, with a focus on Devices and Services and Artificial General Intelligence.
The agreements and initiatives TLBD drives range from complex new technology license and support deals with unique and creative business models to basic agreements and amendments as our business needs expand. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating highly ambiguous environments and have 1/ experience working with technical products and teams, and 2/ excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship building skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional efforts across Product, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and senior management to negotiate licenses and drive strategic initiatives in support of multiple Amazon product teams
- Drive quarterly roadmap reviews with internal and external partner teams
- Manage executive- and working-level relationships with key licensing partners
- Seek innovative ideas and technologies to further product team goals
- Drive process-improvements across the team
- This role in particular will be focused on Information licensing partnerships
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
