Summary
Redwire Space is seeking a Remote (Ideally, Houston, TX area), Business Development and Capture Manager, Lead, responsible for driving business growth for our LEO, Lunar, and Deep Space Strategy. The BD and Capture Manager will be responsible for tracking and managing leads in the CRM, developing and presenting capture and bid strategies and presentations, and developing customer relationships through regular follow-up and industry-wide conferences and events. Additionally, the BD and Capture Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities, and supporting the development of win strategies, account engagement plans, partnering strategies, and bookings targets for LEO, Lunar, and Deep Space system products, hardware and services. In this role, the BD and Capture Manager will collaborate with other BD leadership team members, program managers, technical and engineering experts, and business leaders to win bookings that fulfill overall Redwire objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and deploy LEO, Lunar, and Deep Space strategies along with identifying key partnerships and stakeholders
  • Conduct market and business strategy research for LEO, Lunar, and Deep Space applications
  • Conducting thorough market analysis, identifying novel technology innovations, and generating business case analysis
  • Identifying potential customers and tracking leads in the CRM (Salesforce)
  • Promoting the company with the specific purpose of expanding its market and increasing its client base at industry conferences and events
  • Writing proposals and managing proposal teams for open solicitations and direct to customer sales
  • Tracking and managing bid & proposal (B&P) budgets for key strategic focus areas, including LEO, Lunar, and Deep Space
  • Achieve $10M+ in bookings annually representing a broad range of products, hardware and services
  • Ensuring product pursuits are effectively communicated to all business unit stakeholders including segment President, Executive Leadership Team, program management, finance, contracts, manufacturing, HR and QA
  • Contributing to product strategies and roadmaps with customer intelligence and industry trends to support growth across the Redwire Space portfolio system of products
IDEAL EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Aerospace field
  • Minimum of 8 years proven abilities in direct support for Business to Business (B2B)/Business to Government (B2G)
  • Direct experience working in the Civil Space, and Commercial Space sectors
  • Experience working with space-focused government agencies
  • Experience with proposal development, negotiation, and closing
  • Experience with LEO, Lunar, and Deep Space systems and products, including power, thermal, logistics and habitation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to travel
  • US Citizen (Green Card holder or Visa sponsorship are not accepted)
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Aerospace field
  • Demonstrated successful performance leading business development, capture, and proposal teams to win large space related opportunities, while developing and enabling pipeline designed for aggressive growth
  • Effective communicator with strong oral, public speaking, writing, and presentation building skills
