We're looking for a strategic, relationship-driven leader to expand our presence in the North Alabama market, with a focus on roadway and transportation infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone with deep industry connections who can identify opportunities, build client relationships, and help secure and shape impactful civil engineering projects.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business development efforts in the Huntsville and North Alabama marketย 
  • Lead strategic growth initiatives focused on roadway, transportation, and public infrastructure projectsย 
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities through existing and new client relationshipsย 
  • Develop and maintain strong connections with local municipalities, Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), contractors, and industry partners
  • Track upcoming projects, RFQs/RFPs, and market trends to position the firm competitivelyย 
  • Lead go/no-go decisions, proposal strategy, and interview preparation
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop scopes of work, staffing plans, and fee proposalsย 
  • Support project kickoff and transition to delivery teams, ensuring alignment with client expectationsย 
  • Maintain and grow key client relationships through regular communication and engagementย 
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and local networking functionsย 
  • Partner with internal leadership to align business development goals with company strategyย 
  • Assist in hiring and building a local team to support growth in the Huntsville region

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldย 
  • 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on transportation/roadway infrastructureย 
  • Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and project captureย 
  • Established network of contacts in the Huntsville/North Alabama engineering and infrastructure marketย 
  • Strong understanding of public-sector procurement processes, including RFQs/RFPsย 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsย 
  • Ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into awarded projects
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with strong organizational and leadership abilitiesย 
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams ย
