Position: Business Development Account Executive – Ecommerce/Marketplace
Type: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (hybrid + travel)

SellCord is a leading agency specializing in launching and scaling brands exclusively on Walmart Marketplace. As Walmart-approved partners, we help businesses grow by optimizing their presence on the platform and driving sustainable success.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Account Executive to lead growth in our SMB and Mid Market segment for brands that sell on Walmart Marketplace and Walmart.com. The ideal candidate is experienced in high-velocity deal management with solid Amazon, Walmart marketplace, or other ecommerce marketplace operating knowledge. 

Some travel is required to meet with clients, attend events, and support relationship management.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the full sales cycle for SMB and Mid Market deals in parallel while maintaining momentum and accuracy throughout the process.

  • Close large retainer engagements with fast sales cycles and limited stakeholders.

  • Communicate and sell structured packages, including onboarding fees and phased services.

  • Apply sound judgement on when to advance or disqualify opportunities to protect time and pipeline quality. 

  • Thoroughly qualify opportunities based on revenue thresholds, SKU volume, advertising budgets, and operational maturity.

  • Take ownership of pipeline management, deal handoffs, and early customer experience. 

Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of progress experience in B2B sales role, preferred experience working with SMB and Mid Market ecommerce brands ideally with small business and mid market clients (i.e. PE-backed or owner-operator driven brands).

  • The ideal candidate has hands on experience with Amazon Seller Central and/or Walmart Seller Center with a solid understanding of Walmart Connect, advertising, content optimization, and fulfillment tradeoffs.

  • Solid communication skills with the ability to be direct, transparent, and practical without over-promising.

  • Sense of urgency without being pushy - protects time and pipeline quality. 

  • Strong coachability with openness to feedback on messaging, ICP refinement, and processes improvement.

  • Solid owner mentality - treats pipeline, handoffs, and customer experience as a personality responsibility.
