Job Description
NetImpact Strategies is looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Account Executive-Federal IT to support our growth strategy. This exciting opportunity will leverage the candidate's experience in business development and federal contracting. The Business Development Account Executive will conduct research, identify new opportunities, broker teaming arrangements and direct all aspects of business development initiatives and support sales/business development activities. A deep understanding and experience within Federal Contracting, along with an existing network of contacts is required.
Responsibilities and duties
  • Direct, establish, maintain, and plan overall direction and goals for the Business Development business unit. Be able to define and drive growth by focusing on customer interaction, teaming approach, technical differentiation and contracting solution strategies.
  • Create a robust sales pipeline of new opportunities in the Government market; building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with target goals.
  • Meet with contracting representatives and potential clients to conduct research and gather intelligence on prospective business opportunities in target Government markets.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer requirements.
  • Conduct business meetings with prospective clients and teaming partners.
  • Negotiate teaming arrangements, requirements, and workshare with business partners on opportunity pursuits.
  • Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisitions process for full & open government procurements.
  • Able to increase sales with a proven track record of identification, pursuit, and full and open task order wins.
  • Identify potential business opportunities and/or partners. Negotiates agreements that are beneficial to the continued growth and success of the company.
  • Responsible for developing new market initiatives, assessing existing markets, and analyzing new business opportunities.
  • Develop opportunity capture strategies and execute capture tactics (including identification of client pain points, proposal win themes, and resource requirements).
  • Coordinate with the proposal team throughout solutioning, development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Support proposal development including capture, solutioning, writing, and reviews.
  • Identify trends and client requirements to formulate a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets.

Qualifications
  • Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in the field of Federal IT Contracting Business Development (full and open pursuits).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations.
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose equipment-based solutions for clients.
  • The ability to development tactical and strategic plans, goals and objectives.
  • Strong relationship and business development skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of government customer.
  • Strong organization, planning and communication skills.
  • Experience delivering presentations and gate reviews.
  • Expertise and contacts with Federal Agencies
