Materials Manager
Position Overview
The Materials Manager will oversee the sourcing, procurement, and inventory management for all consumable materials across the company's cultivation and retail operations.ย  This role ensures every department, from Forest Park to all of The Garden locations has the supplies needed to operate efficiently, compliantly, and cost effectively.ย ย 
Guide our company toward operational excellence by building structure, refining purchasing systems, and optimizing material flow across multiple business units.ย  The Materials Manager will play a critical role in maintaining product quality, supporting compliance, and ensuring consistent supply chain performance within the organization.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role will influence the entire company and offer the right candidate visibility across the organization.ย 
Key Responsibilities
  • Source and manage consumables for cultivation and retail (e.g., packaging, nutrients, PPE, labels and retail supplies)
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.ย 
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to optimize spending and ensure supply continuity
  • Establish and maintain accurate inventory levels across all facilities using defined par levels and reorder points.ย  Report inventory levels to Finance for end of month reporting.
  • Coordinate with the department leaders to forecast material needs to support production and sales planning while keeping on budget.

Comp Salary Range DOE, looking for someone competent at building systems, maintaining relationships with vendors, and negotiating contractsย  Would handle all packaging orders, hardware, non-inventory supplies, and whatever retails needs.ย
