Material Handler / Inventory Clerk

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Material Handler / Inventory Clerk for a well-established manufacturing company. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you'll be hired directly by the company from day one. We're looking for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and has experience with both material handling and inventory control. This position plays a key role in keeping production supplied with the materials needed to maintain efficient operations.

Position: Material Handler / Inventory Clerk

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Status: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks
  • Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the production facility
  • Stock and organize inventory in the warehouse and inventory room
  • Pick materials for production work orders and deliver them to the appropriate departments
  • Receive and verify incoming materials
  • Update inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records within the company's inventory system
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment
  • Work closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure materials are available when needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in material handling, warehouse, inventory control, or a similar manufacturing role
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Overhead crane exp would be a plus but not required
  • Experience using an inventory management or ERP system preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
