Role Purpose Statement

The Materials Logistics Manager is accountable for all supply chain and materials management performance metrics across the CSCs within the assigned region. 

This role drives continuous improvement initiatives and provides end-to-end inventory oversight, from demand forecasting and procurement through delivery, ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimization, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include production planning, management of annual spend for perishable food products and materials, SKU optimization, food cost variance analysis, purchasing and vendor management, SOP development and implementation, customer relationship management, and leadership of a 10-member team.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on food industry experience, a deep understanding of HACCP principles and regulatory requirements, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. They possess expertise in purchasing, inventory and materials management, production planning, demand forecasting, and cost control, along with the ability to drive operational excellence and continuous process improvement across a complex supply chain environment.

  • Oversee all inventory management functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and financial stewardship.
  • Lead a team of warehouse professionals through coaching, training, and performance development.
  • Ensure excellent execution of receiving, storage, requisitioning, and distribution processes.
  • Implement enterprise-wide supply chain policies and ensure consistent execution across the region.
  • Drive achievement of annual quality, cost, and delivery goals.
  • Ensure customer and company-owned materials are managed efficiently from receipt to production.
  • Optimize par levels and order quantities based on airline specifications, menu cycles, and vendor lead times.
  • Maintain full compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct facility and equipment inspections to ensure safety, quality, and operational readiness
