Job description

Material Handler

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Mode: 100% Onsite – Local Candidates Only

Duration: 3+ months

Summary:

  • Chance to Extend: Yes

  • Reason for Opening: LOA (Leave of Absence)
  • Target Start Date: ASAP
  • Dress Code: Cargo pants and polo shirts
  • Variable Shift Schedule
  • Work Days: 3-4 days per week (minimum 32 hours/week)
  • Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month (every other weekend)
  • Shifts:
    • Weekdays (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri): 4:30 AM – 1:00 PM
    • Weekends (on scheduled weekends): 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (may vary based on business needs)
    • Additional Night Shift: Some shifts may be 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (as required)

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and stock supplies
  • Inventory management
  • Order picking
  • Delivering materials throughout the hospital
  • Maintain accurate inventory records

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • Previous experience in materials management, customer service, and/or healthcare preferred
  • Background, Education, and Employment Verification
  • Provide proof of High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • List 3 previous employers; at least 2 must be verified
  • Medical and Immunization Requirements
  • Immunity Documentation (Bloodwork or Vaccination Records)
  • Must be fully vaccinated for MMR and Varicella
  • Hepatitis B Vaccination may be declined, but declination form must be on file
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Test must be completed yearly
  • Drug Screening — 9 Panel, No THC (effective May 20, 2024)
  • Influenza Vaccine (Current Season) required November 1st – May 30th
  • COVID-19 Vaccination not required but strongly recommended

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in materials management, customer service, and/or healthcare preferred
