Position: Custodial Supervisorย 

Location: Adventure Christian School

Reports to: Operations Director

FSLA: Non-exempt

Job Status: Part-Time


Position Overview

The Custodial Supervisor partners with the Operations Director to ensure that the Adventure Christian School campus is safe, functional, clean, and welcoming. This role provides hands-on custodial and light maintenance support while helping lead and support the custodial team and volunteers. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and service-minded, with a strong work ethic and a heart for teamwork.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Building Maintenance & Repairs


Identify custodial, facility, or maintenance needs and communicate findings to the Operations Director.

Perform and assist with basic maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., light fixtures, minor plumbing issues, furniture setup and adjustments).

Support preventive maintenance efforts to maintain facility appearance and functionality.

Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as directed by the Operations Director.

Help ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and building code requirements.


Custodial Oversight & Campus Care

  • Assist with custodial services to maintain a clean, orderly, and well-presented campus.
  • Help prioritize daily, weekly, and seasonal custodial tasks.
  • Ensure proper use, care, and storage of custodial equipment and supplies.


Team Building & Volunteer Recruitment

  • Support and encourage a positive, team-oriented environment focused on service, excellence, and collaboration.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and supporting custodial staff and volunteers as needed.


Administrative & Inventory Assistance

  • Monitor custodial supplies, tools, and equipment inventory; notify the Operations Director of replenishment needs.
  • Support cost-effective use of resources and adherence to the facilities budget.
  • Assist with basic documentation and communication related to facilities operations.


Mission Critical Responsibilities

  • Have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
  • Believe that the Bible is God's Word and standard for faith and daily living.
  • Be in whole-hearted agreement with the Adventure Christian School's Statement of Faith.


Requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to learn custodial procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.


Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in custodial, facilities, or maintenance-related work.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
