Job description

Position Summary: Plans, organizes and manages the effective and efficient delivery of Home Care rehabilitation services for the Part B at Home Division. Responsible for development of current and future business ventures and ensure appropriate staffing and tools to ensure future expansion and growth.

Qualifications: The Part B Manager must have: Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language Pathology, current state license, minimum of 3 years plus of rehabilitation experience, proven leadership and program development/ supervisory (management) experience knowledge of state, federal and therapy practice act legislation/law, interdisciplinary management and understanding essential, excellent oral and written communication skills. Previous Home Care experience preferred.

Knowledge of clinical compliance policies, practices, standards, and systems

Demonstrates good judgement and able to identify methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to complex problems

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Duties and Responsibilities: Every effort has been made to keep your job description as complete as possible.   • Collaborates with Part A Home Care and reviews referrals and discharges of Rehabilitation programming to evaluate service delivery and needs.
  • Assists in recruitment of staff based on potential growth areas.
  • Manages the day-to-day therapy operations and ensures staff's compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including those related to safety and infection control
  • Performs initial evaluations, therapy visits, and therapist field visits as needed
  • Facilitates and clears Part B at Home workflows, as required by the EMR system
  • Ensures rehab services are initiated timely and work with Regional and Human Resources to ensure company has sufficient Part B at Home staffing
  • Ensures that MD orders are obtained as required by law/regulation, and that changes in condition are appropriately communicated to physicians and other disciplines
  • Oversees process to educate therapists regarding preparation and submission of clinical records and reports according to policies, professional standards and third-party reimbursement standards, and ensures documentation complies therewith, development of appropriate treatment plan.
  • Ensures that treatment plans reflect realistic and achievable goals, and that rehab services provided are medically appropriate for those goals
  • Monitors therapist performance to ensure that rehab services provided are medically required and appropriate.
  • Conducts therapy staff training and assesses quality of therapist's documentation to assure compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations
  • Reviews Audits and provides corrective action plans and recommendations on any deficiencies
  • Orientation and training of rehabilitation personnel.
  • Review and update rehabilitation policy and procedures on a regular basis to ensure compliance with facility process and state/federal regulations.
  • Establishes, disseminates and adheres to HIPAA compliance policies and procedures
  • Attends and participates in educational activities, in-service training and staff meetings; assist in orientation and training other staff
  • Assist in facility and rehabilitation marketing plan including:
  • Referral Rehabilitation Screenings, Community and referral source in servicing
  • Providing Program evaluation and outcome information for inclusion in marketing materials.
  • Assisting in Market analysis and provide recommendations for new rehabilitation programs.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations to the Part B at Home concerning staff education needs and request. Provides in-services and obtains speakers to assist staff in improving their job performance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the company.
