Job description

  • Assist in directing all aspects of breeder operations.
  • Lead team ensuring proper methods & techniques are employed to obtain optimum health and performance of breeder flocks.
  • Assist in training and leading team in proper on-farm management techniques.
  • Monitor flock records, adjusting programs as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state & local agencies.
  • Assist in recruitment of new growers; maintain and improve housing.
  • Review weekly settlement and investigate grower complaints as needed.
  • Oversee pullet chick placement scheduling and AI monitoring.
  • All other duties as directed.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Animal or Poultry Science or other closely related field.
  • 5+ years breeder management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of breeder bird health.
  • Excellent communication skills.
