JOB DESCRIPTION: Branch Specialist
WAGE CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager
SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY
AuburnBank's Branch Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service. The Branch Specialist will process customer transactions including, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Additionally, the Branch Specialist will educate customers on products and services, open new accounts and maintenance of accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides exceptional customer service while handling customers' deposits, withdrawals and payments
Develops relationships with customers
Assists customers with account inquiries regarding products and basic problem resolution
Assist co-workers as needed to aid in customer resolution
Work cohesively as part of a team within the branch
Follow all bank processes and procedures while adhering to applicable laws and regulations
As a member of the branch, ensures sound banking practices, including identifying and reporting operational risks
Other duties as assigned

This position is considered non-exempt and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 6 months related customer service and cash handling experience
Ability to work Saturdays as needed
Ability to handle cash and process transactions with accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
Ability to use a computer and banking applications on a regular basis
Ability to travel to other locations to accommodate temporary needs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1-year of financial services experience

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Patience and ability to remain calm and professional
Must establish and maintain effective working relationships
Working knowledge of general office equipment
Requires extended periods of walking, sitting or standing
Requires frequent bending or stooping
Ability to transport/lift up to 50 lbs.
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to handle stress
Regular and predictable attendance
Requires extensive public contact
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Ability to maintain confidentiality
May be called upon from time to time to participate with community organizations and projects
