Job description

Job Summary

The Vault Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the Precious Metals operation in Dallas, supervising the vault team, retention, employee training and development, safety programs, and promotion of all corporate goals and objectives. The position works with the General Manager to ensure that all division and local customers are appropriately serviced at all times and closely with the BGS Operations Team to support all related Export / Import / Domestic transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in providing the leadership necessary to organize the market logistics and aggressively develop a product-driven organization.
  • Lead the team to quickly adapt to change during times of transition, including marketplace shifts/product launches, and effectively use all partnerships/resources to ensure the receiving, dispatching, organization and inventory management process and by extension all security processes are never compromised.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Vault Operational team.
  • Responsible for staffing requirements and managing the scheduling of staff to appropriately meet daily needs.
  • Support, coach and provide leadership to Supervisors and Leads.
  • Ensure Brink’s standards, processes and procedures are adhered to with the vault check-in/out process; the opening and closing of the facility; managing the integrity of the Vault and all Vault Procedures.
  • Drive employee productivity and develop recommendations for improvements.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly and annual audits of all inventory.
  • Manage key performance indicators, including labor, quality, adherence to standard operating procedures and other business measurements.
  • Identify ways to improve management of costs, continually improve margins to positively impact business results.
  • Ensure that the market is the most efficient, quality-oriented, highest value provider of like services in the market by establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Proactively reduce risk exposure and ensure implementation of measures to reduce worker’s compensation injury costs and security losses within the market.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years supervising or managing a group of logistics professionals engaged in secured logistics activities including but not limited to the inventory management, inflow and outflow of sensitive and highly valuable items.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in logistics in a high touch customer facing role and/or a role processing shipments through a logistics life cycle or transferable Brink’s or Brink’s Global Service experience in a role that would serve as the foundation for this position.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements.
  • A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Worked in a customer focus environment.

  • Experience in precious metals storage, freight forwarding/transportation or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Lean/Process Improvement methodologies.
