Job description

First National Bank of America is looking for a courteous and tactful Branch Banker to support our physical and online branches out of our Traverse City branch. The ideal candidate will be able to combine accuracy and follow-through with excellent customer service skills. The Branch Banker involves working with customers with the purpose of understanding financial goals, building relationships and working with internal teams and partners through multiple channels, including phone, e-mail, in person and messaging.
Hours: 20-28hrs/week
Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers in full financial conversation to position solutions based on their needs
  • Acquire and deepen branch customer base through proactive service and sales activities
  • Help customers navigate and utilize online banking services during every interaction, including account access and setup
  • Contribute to branch deposit goals by being proactive, leveraging lobby traffic, deepening every customer interaction and making outbound calls to set appointments
  • Respond to incoming customer calls and provide prompt, courteous service, including setting up appointments for full financial review
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations and consistently follow established bank procedures

Qualifications:
  • Previous banking experience required, with a strong understanding of financial products and services
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable using technology and quickly learning new banking systems
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
