Job description

SUMMARY
The Branch Services Representative Welcomes Members to the branch, performs their financial transaction, and guides them through a successful and rewarding experience to increase each Member’s profitability potential and to guarantee that every Member, every time, receives a warm and positive experience. Displays Altura Credit Union’s Core Values (Respect, Integrity, Innovation, Passion, and Excellence) to both external and internal Members. Takes ownership of every Member every time and provides “Start to Finish” Member service. A Branch Service Representative (BSR) is typically an entry-level position within Altura’s branch network. As a BSR gains experience and develops skills, they are expected to advance to a Branch Service Representative III position within 12-18 months of hire.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrates excellence in Member service by welcoming Members to the branch and providing service in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner. Maintains a member survey average score of 9.5 or above.
  • Profiles Members to determine Members’ needs and directs them to the proper services and resources for transacting business. Cross-sells Altura Credit Union and its Affiliate’s products and services. Consistently achieves monthly referral quota.
  • Accurately performs Symitar functions and balances cash drawer daily.
  • Adheres to compliance issues, policies, and procedures to preserve the operational integrity of the branch network.
  • Preserves the retail image of the branch office by maintaining a superior appearance of professionalism, cleanliness, and organization.
  • In-person and/or online personal development training.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in retail or customer service required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Prior experience handling cash preferred.
