Job description

Bookkeeper

Urban Golf Performance | Irvine, CA (Orange County) | In-Office 5 Days/Week | Full-Time

About UGP

Urban Golf Performance is the leader in high-end golf performance coaching, operating five locations across Southern California and Texas plus a Tour unit serving PGA Tour professionals. We've grown to nearly 100 employees and we're scaling fast. Our culture runs on hospitality, humility, gratitude, professionalism, and transparency. We're looking for someone organized, reliable, and detail-oriented to keep our day-to-day financial operations running smoothly.

The Role

We're hiring a Bookkeeper to own the day-to-day transactional accounting and financial admin across our multi-location business. You'll work closely with our CEO & COO and partner directly with our external accounting team, who handle month-end close, financial reporting, and tax. Your job is to keep transactions accurate, records clean, and the books current so the bigger financial picture stays sharp. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who takes pride in keeping things organized and buttoned-up.

What You'll Own
  • Accounts payable: entering bills, processing payments, managing vendor records
  • Accounts receivable: invoicing, tracking, and following up on outstanding balances
  • Recording daily transactions across all five locations and the Tour unit
  • Bank, credit card, and merchant processor reconciliations
  • Corporate card administration and expense report processing
  • Categorizing and coding transactions accurately in QuickBooks
  • Maintaining organized, audit-ready digital records and documentation
  • Supporting payroll processing and reconciliation
  • Assisting the external accounting team with month-end close prep (pulling reports, gathering documentation, answering transaction questions)
  • General financial admin and ad hoc support for the CEO & COO
What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 1-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting/financial admin experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • Solid Excel skills (data entry, basic formulas, organizing data cleanly)
  • Genuinely detail-oriented - you catch the small stuff and don't let things slip
  • Highly organized and dependable; you follow through and close loops
  • Clear, direct communicator who flags issues early rather than letting them pile up

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with multi-location retail, hospitality, fitness, or service businesses
  • Familiarity with Mindbody, Square, Stripe, or similar platforms
  • Associate's degree or coursework in accounting/finance

You'll thrive here if:

  • You like bringing order to a busy, growing operation
  • You'd rather catch a small discrepancy now than untangle a mess later
  • You want to be part of a team that's genuinely going somewhere
  • You're happy being in an office with your team five days a week
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $55,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k)
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • A friendly, fast-moving environment where your work is seen and valued
