The Position

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Anaheim office. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage multiple tax engagements while working closely with leadership and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns, including multi-state and international filings
  • Lead multiple tax engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Perform advanced tax research and prepare technical memorandums
  • Develop and deliver tax projections and planning strategies for clients
  • Serve as a key point of contact for client inquiries related to tax and accounting matters
  • Interface with IRS and state tax authorities during examinations
  • Review, mentor, and train junior staff, including interns and associates
  • Support internal training initiatives and contribute to team development
  • Assist with business development efforts and client relationship management
  • Participate in recruiting and firm growth initiatives


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience in tax
  • Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, and corporate taxation
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines


Preferred:

  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (or actively pursuing)
  • Master’s in Taxation or MBA
  • Experience with multi-state and international tax matters
  • Strong accounting foundation (including adjusting entries and client bookkeeping)
  • Experience with tax software such as CCH Axcess or similar
  • Industry exposure to real estate, manufacturing, or high-net-worth individuals
