As an LICSW with Blue Ribbon Social Work, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual psychotherapy to students facing mental health concerns related to substance abuse in alignment with their academic needs.
• Conducting thorough assessments to identify the students' needs and developing tailored treatment plans utilizing best practices and solution-based interventions.
• Administering evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), specifically designed to aid in substance abuse recovery.
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care and ensure a supportive environment for each student.
• Educating the students and their families about available mental health and substance abuse resources, fostering community awareness and engagement.
• Staying abreast of the latest research in social work and integrating new methodologies into practice for optimal outcomes.
• Effectively managing caseloads, meeting established treatment goals, and upholding the highest ethical standards in practice.

In this position, you will primarily focus on youth who are at varying stages of substance abuse recovery, each having unique needs that require tailored interventions. These students may also be navigating co-occurring mental health issues, and you will provide comprehensive support to help them thrive within their academic and personal lives.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LICSW license in the state of Massachusetts.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably focusing on substance abuse therapy.
• Knowledge and proficiency in effective solution-based therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

While a minimum of one year of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience in school settings or with youth-focused programs will be preferred. Familiarity with technology-based treatment methodologies and online therapy platforms is also advantageous.
