Biomedical Service Engineer – Cleveland, Ohio (Job Ref: 261/BMCO)

We have an exciting new career opportunity for a Biomedical Service Engineer based in Cleveland, Ohio.

Location: Remote, homebased in Cleveland, Ohio. However, extensive travel will be required across the east coast and potentially all over the US.


Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent

 

Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 5.00. However, flexibility will be required. 


What does this role involve?

  • Routine servicing and preventative maintenance of analyzers and associated equipment in the field.
  • Establishment of routine maintenance schedules.
  • Development of procedures and support associated with new products.
  • Emergency breakdown repair of Randox analyzers in the field.
  • Installation, commissioning and set-up of analyzer equipment
  • Providing direct support to the end user by telephone and email.
  • The training of Randox staff and end-user personnel in analyzer servicing procedures.
  • Regular travel to visit customer sites for servicing and maintenance of Randox equipment

 Full onsite training will be provided on our machines and processes.

Who can apply? 

 

Essential criteria:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent accredited apprenticeships.
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills, both written
    and oral.
  • High level of motivation to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal departments and customers.
  • Be available for extensive travel within the United States
  • Full US driving license
  • Currently have the right to work in the United States

 

Desirable:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Experience in computer hardware or engineering.
  • Experience in servicing medical devices
  • Experience with clinical chemistry analyzers and applications knowledge.
  • Previous sales or customer service experience
