Position Title: Field Service Engineer (FSE) - PVD Equipment, Inline Platforms

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer (FSE) for PVD equipment. The FSE will provide on-site support during installation, along with after-sales service and maintenance for our advanced Inline PVD Equipment. The ideal candidate will have a background in semiconductor, display, photovoltaics, and/or architectural glass manufacturing, knowledge of copy exact principles and hands on experience troubleshooting inline sputtering and evaporation processes and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of inline-based sputter and evaporation equipment at customer sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on PVD systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with customers to optimize PVD processes and improve product yields.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment performance, and customer interactions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams, both external and internal, to identify in-field issues, resolve, and contribute to product improvements.
  • Travel: Travel to customer sites as needed, both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in servicing PVD equipment, with a focus on inline sputter or evaporation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with vacuum systems and plasma technology.
  • Excellent communication skills. German & Mandarin language a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
