Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Technician-Full Time

Weekdays

Scheurer Health is seeking a full-time Biomedical Technician.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure patient and staff safety at all Scheurer Health locations
  • Perform safety testing and maintain patient care equipment, systems and instrumentation used during the delivery of health care services
  • Complete reactive repairs and the preventative maintenance program for all equipment

Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver license with no restrictions
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • The preferred candidate will also have one of the following
    • Associates degree in biomedical academic program or electronics technology Certificate from a U.S. Military biomedical equipment technology or electronics program
    • Certificate from college, university or technical school for Biomedical Engineering
    • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
    • Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES)
    • Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES)
    • Biomedical Equipment Technician Certificate (BMET)
  • If not certified, an applicant will at minimum have at least 1-year verifiable work experience in a related field and be willing to complete a BMET certificate program within 1 year of employment.
