Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer/Publisher to support a large-scale reporting and analytics modernization initiative. The primary focus of this role is migrating legacy IBM Cognos reports to Microsoft Power BI while contributing to the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise reporting and dashboard solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI, Oracle databases, SQL/PL/SQL, data visualization, and analytics, along with experience working in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the migration of existing IBM Cognos reports to Microsoft Power BI.

Analyze legacy reports and develop equivalent or enhanced Power BI dashboards and reports.

Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, scorecards, metrics, and visualizations.

Ensure all reporting solutions adhere to established development standards, data governance policies, and accessibility requirements.

Provide ongoing production support for reports and dashboards, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, testing, and enhancements.

Create consolidated Power BI usage reports and analytics to support organizational reporting needs.

Collaborate with business users, analysts, technical teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting solutions.

Perform data analysis and validate functional and technical requirements.

Recommend and implement reporting and analytics best practices.

Participate in Power BI workspace architecture, security design, deployment processes, version control, and documentation.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, analytics, and business intelligence platforms.

Required Qualifications

Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI development and administration.
