Job Description-
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive BI Developer with expertise in Power BI to join our team and support a critical data migration project.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and delivering ad hoc reports, collaborating closely with business stakeholders particularly within the Sales Analytics Group to transform data into actionable insights.
  • This role requires a strong blend of technical reporting skills and excellent communication abilities, with a proactive mindset and the capability to operate independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision making.
  • Create and optimize data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security and governance across all reports and dashboards.
  • Provide training and support to end users on Power BI tools and functionalities.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and data analytics.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting based on stakeholder needs across the Sales Analytics Group.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements.
  • Support reporting efforts within a broader data migration initiative, ensuring continuity and clarity of insights during system transitions.
  • Translate complex data into easily understandable visual formats and narratives for business audiences.
  • Present insights and reporting outcomes clearly and confidently to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
  • Identify data quality issues and collaborate with the data team to resolve them.
  • Take ownership of tasks and proactively identify areas for improvement in reporting and data visualization.

Required Skills Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience as a BI Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on Power BI.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Strong technical acumen with experience in SQL and database management systems e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL.
  • Proven ability to produce ad hoc and recurring reports under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting to business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data migration or modernization projects is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Power BI or related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms e.g., Azure, AWS and their data services.
