Job description

SUMMARY: 

The Beer Pourer is responsible for the safe service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Greet fans in a courteous manner while providing friendly and efficient service from our portable draft, bottled, and specialty beer cart locations.
  2. Set up and breakdown of portable location, including stocking, counting inventory, restocking, and organizing to break down at the end of service.
  3. Serve alcohol only in a safe and responsible manner adhering to state, federal and Stadium alcohol regulations.
  4. Understand menu offerings, pricing, and be able to communicate this to guests.
  5. Have a general knowledge of stadium and direct guests as needed.
  6. Keep work area clean and organized, adhere to health and safety standards.
  7. Always appear in proper uniform when on the floor or at assigned area.
  8. Record any equipment failures and/or safety hazards to supervisor.
  9. Follow the event pre-shift notes and provide service as described, check out with supervisor at the end of the shift.
  10. Special projects and assignments assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibility.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous bar service experience required, including pouring draft beer and cocktail service. High volume preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Enjoy working and interacting with a diverse group of people
  • Interpersonal communication and teamwork
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, nights and late hours
  • Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25lbs, pull, reach, bend. May be required to reach upper levels of the stadium via walking inclined ramps
  • Must be able to work the full length of the game/event
  • Ability to work on main concourse, upper concourse, or plaza area as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast paced environment
  • Densely populated on event days
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
  • Position may require work in inclement weather to include heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must obtain a passing score on the TEAM Alcohol Safety Certification course.
