Job description

Coordinator

WORK OPTION: The NBA currently provides eligible employees the option of working remotely one day per week.

Job Summary:

Role is responsible for the support of NBAGL team brand identities (including logos, uniforms, game theater and courts), outfitting of referees across all leagues, Identity Assurance, (LockerVision, LockerVision Acquisition when applicable) and other group operations. In each instance the requirement of the role requires the project management of the timeline and ensuring the required constituents (teams, IP, comms etc.) are all held accountable for each deliverable. The role requires a cross functional mindset. Interaction with multiple departments to achieve group and department goals is paramount. Included in this is the on-going development of Nike outfitting needs. The role will report to the Sr. Director, On-Court & Brand Partnerships โ€“ Brand Lead.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all NBAGL team brands meet league standards, are implemented on time and upkeep is coordinated with IP team accordingly.
  • Coordinate all NBAGL uniform, game theater and court matters related to concept, design, development, unveiling, marketing and distribution to teams ensuring all timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate the outfitting of all league referees with Nike, Puma (BAL) and referee operations
  • Coordinate the LockerVision internal site back end maintenance working with NBA IT to ensure all deliverables are met for the NBA and WNBA each season.
  • Coordinate any required credentials and invitations for league events
  • In partnership with IT and Merchandising Partnerships continue to transform the Identity Assurance portal.
  • Support and coordinate partnerships with team equipment managers, team brand identity contacts, outfitting partner Nike and all retail embellishment partners related to the NBAGL.
  • Coordinate the Nike NBA Global Outfitting Fund per the Nike contract across all league constituents
  • Lead product placement outfitting through licensed partners
  • Support the Event and Equipment lead on all matters
  • Contribute to all group event needs related to Locker Room product distribution, creative think sessions and organization of league product supply
  • Expand role to take on TMBO related responsibilities with teams in the NBA as necessary

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Expertise in Excel
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PowerPoint
  • High level knowledge of basketball history and current up and coming player pools
  • Organized, pro-active, enthusiastic, task oriented, personable.
  • Energetic, strong communication skills, presentation skills

Experience Needed:

  • 0-2 years experience in the sports licensed or event management discipline proving project management, communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • BS in Marketing or a Sports Management related degree. Masters is preferred.
  • High level collegiate sport background is preferred.

Salary Range:

$75,000 โ€“ $83,000
