Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will involve a variety of essential tasks aimed at delivering quality care:

• Client Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, integrating information from client interviews and standardized diagnostic tools.
• Treatment Planning: Design and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual needs, setting measurable goals and regularly evaluating progress.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Facilitate ongoing therapy sessions through modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions, ensuring that each session effectively addresses client goals.
• Skill Development: Help clients develop practical life skills, including stress management techniques and coping strategies, that empower them to manage their mental health outside of therapy.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records using electronic health records (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations, monitoring client progress and treatment effectiveness.

In this role, you will cater to a diverse clientele, including adults and adolescents facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. To excel in this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related mental health field.
• A valid California license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in good standing.
• At least two years of professional counseling experience in a clinical or community setting.
• A solid understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to individual client needs.
• Proficient use of electronic health records and excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation.

While not mandatory, the following will enhance your application:

• Experience in telehealth service delivery and familiarity with necessary technologies for remote counseling.
